Welcome to my new blog.
I had another blog. (Still do have it, technically.) It's a LiveJournal which I started in my freshman year here. It started out just fine, but it rapidly became nothing but a dumping group for my early-twenties version of teen angst. In others words, it made me look depressed, narcissistic, and vapid. While that's not entirely far from the truth, I do actually have thoughts, memories, music, and art to share. That old blog was too far gone, so here I am, starting anew. These are Scenes and Sounds.
My goal is to steer away from the petty complaints and whining of my old blog. I hope to share pictures and stories from my life, especially the good times spent with friends and family. I may show some of my photography, or just put up a few snapshots of an event. I also plan to talk a great deal about music, since it is such a large part of my life. I have many stories from concerts and several bands I would like to spread the word about. Sometimes, I may just ponder a concept or share my thoughts on a topic. Whatever I do, I plan to make it worth reading.
As this semester draws to a close, I've started to realize that there are a lot of things I need to change. It seemed like a fitting time to debut a new blog. Close a door, open a window.
